Project Overview
What is Tikkat?
Tikkat is an online booking platform for events around Myanmar. People can book event tickets and also organizers can create events on Tikkat.
Brief
Before the beginning of the project, our CEO discussed with the product team that he wanted to develop a Web application for the Event Ticketing Platform. His goal was to create an Event Ticket platform that could be a bridge to connect both customers and organizers. After meeting with the CEO, I took responsibility as a Product Designer since there was only one designer in that Product Team. Before kickstarting the project, we brainstormed about what our platform should be by using Lean Canvas.
Problems Hypothesis
After brainstorming with the product team, we have problem hypotheses. They are
Difficulty finding tickets for diverse events in one place
Risk of buying counterfeit tickets
Inefficient ticket transfer process
Possible Solutions
We cannot know solutions for the problems without user research. So there are possible solutions to problems
A centralized digital platform offering a wide variety of event tickets
Verification system to ensure all tickets are authentic
Streamline process for ticket transfer and reselling
Target Audience
After doing problem hypotheses and possible solutions for that, we should find the Target Audience. Who are the Target audiences for our platform? Well they should be active people who love to attend concerts, conferences, and also sports events
User Research
Well, we have found our target audience, and we started doing user research. Before starting user research, we need to choose which method will be used. Due to the strict timeline, we didn't have a chance to do qualitative research. Then we chose one of the quantitative research, surveys. Here are the results:

Data Analysis
Once we got the survey results, we continued to analyze the data from the results and add insights. Here are our insights:

Who are we solving this for?
With all that in mind, we were able to create our primary persona — Anna! She is an event enthusiast with a passion for attending concerts.

Problem statement:
Anna, a marketing executive and event enthusiast, is seeking a platform that can easily buy event tickets so that she cannot miss her chances to go to her favorite events.
User Journey
Once we got user persona and probem statement for that persona, here is user journey mapping for Anna:

How Might We
Now we have user persona, problem statement and user journey the next step is the ideation stage. In the ideate stage, we tried to find possible solutions for our persona, Anna by using how might we method.

After using "How Might We" statements, we exactly identified the problems and needs, the next step is to come up with creative solutions. However, we chose solutions only for Phase 1 due to timeline and technical feasibility. Here are my solutions for the challenges:

Information Architecture
After knowing which are the solutions for Anna, our persona, we created information architecture to cover the solutions that we discovered. Here is an information architecture for our anna:

User Flow
With the user journey and IA established, we create the user flow for Anna. The user flow outlines the step-by-step process Anna will follow within the app to search for, select, and purchase tickets for her desired events. Key stages include event discovery, ticket selection, checkout, and receipt confirmation. This user flow serves as a guide for designing and developing an intuitive and user-friendly event ticket app tailored to Anna's needs and preferences.

Wireframing
After establishing the user flow, the next step is to create low-fidelity prototypes ( Wireframes )of the event ticket app based on the established user flow. These wireframes focus on the basic layout, navigation, and functionality without detailed design elements.

User Interface Design
After a long journey, finally I designed UI design. I followed the style guide and wireframes. Here are my UI Designs
Next Steps
For the phase 1, we don't have enough time to deeply focus on usability testing. In the next step, we would do the usability testing and based on result, we could change the design, add functions and many others. Due to UX debts from Phase 1, I would design the functions for cancelled events, account deletion and more focus on user journey and usability testing.
Thank for reading my case study….
