Project Overview
The Good Life is the Website of City Mart Group where users can read blogs about Food, Lifestyle, Home, Health, Parenting, and Pets. In this project, I want to show you how I redesigned the Hero section of the Home page.
The Problem
In recent days, CMHL noticed that their website is decreasing the website visitors. They also don't like their current website style so they requested us to redesign their website.
The Goal
CHML wants more people to visit their website often, and they also want to send their new blogs to these visitors regularly. Additionally, they're interested in putting their ads on the website to reach more people.
Process
My role for this website involves a few important tasks. First, I'll be doing user research to understand what people need and want from the site. Then, I'll figure out the problems that need to be fixed. After that, I'll come up with creative solutions to make the site better. Finally, I'll be working on the visual design to make sure the site looks appealing and user-friendly.
Analyzing the old design
Before redesigning the new website, I analyzed the old version. In this case, I analyzed based on the following method:Checking if the colors, fonts, and overall look were nice.Seeing if the menu was easy to use.Looking at the buttons, pictures, and things you can click on to make sure they were clear.Thinking about how easy it was for people to find what they wanted.Considering how people would go from one page to another easily.Checking if the things on the site were organized well.Trying the site on different devices like phones and computers to see if it worked the same way.Looking to see if people could leave comments, share stuff, or do fun things on the site.

Analyzed Results
After looking at the old design closely, I discovered several factors that might have led to decreasing the number of visitors. They are:

User Research
After analyzing the old design, I continued to do user research for more problems that we cannot imagine. I conduct interviews with people who love reading. And I got many pains point and needs from them. Here are pain points and needs :
Pain Points
Lack of Visual Appeal
Lack of Clear Call-to-Action
Difficult Navigation
Poor Search Functionality
Needs
Responsive Design
Clear and Organized Layout
Engaging Features
Fresh and Relevant Content
User Persona
After collecting data from the user research, I created a user persona to empathize with users focus. Here is the persona:

User Flow
After creating a user persona, I design a user flow based on that persona. You can see one of my user flows in the following. This user follow is about how users explore, read articles, and comment on those articles.

Information Architecture
Based on that flow, I designed Information Architecture of the Good Life.

Wireframing

Style Guides
Once I have created the wireframes, I proceed to develop the Style Guide for the website. This allows me to hand off my designs to the developers. In this Style guide, I add Typography, Colours, and image ratio

User Interface Design
After a long journey, finally I designed UI design. I followed the style guide and wireframes. Here are my UI Designs
Takeaways
In this project, I learned how the blog website works. There is one process left, usability testing. We will continue to do usability testing on the New Design in the near future.
